Environmental Policy

Delta Design recognises its responsibility to minimise the impact of its operations on the environment and seeks to achieve this through a programme of continual improvement. Delta Design will endeavour to carry out all work procedures in accordance with the relevant environmental legislation and will ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities to reduce their impact on the environment.

Delta Design hereby adopts this policy in an effort to conserve valuable resources, reduce waste and to prevent pollution using a step by step approach. Implementation of this policy will take place in conjunction with our existing ISO9001 Quality and Health & Safety policies where appropriate.

Delta Design is committed to:

• Quantify energy usage; monitor improvements made
• Quantify & monitor raw material usage
• Quantify and analyse the generation of waste materials
• Promote waste recycling and decrease waste sent to landfill
• Quantify and monitor all significant environmental impacts of the business (e.g. waste, packaging, solvents)
• Continually improve manufacturing to maximise efficiency
• Establish environmental best practice in our industry sector
• Design products in accordance with environmental best practice
• Provide appropriate environmental training and educate employees to be environmentally responsible on their job
• Review this policy every year
• Set Objectives and work continuously to improve the effectiveness of this environmental policy
• Set and achieve annual targets by implementing an action plan
• Report the result of review and performance annually both internally and externally
• Ensure the environmental policy is implemented and maintained at all management levels
• Ensure Environmental policy is published internally and externally and all staff are aware of it.
